Meet our newest trustees.

The new moon this week brings with it a number of celebrations from the Lunar New Year, start of Ramadan, Lent and for many people also school half term! Such moments bring with them a time of renewal, reflection and fresh beginnings.

This Lunar New Year of theHorse symbolises energy, resilience and forward momentum. It feels especially fitting as we strengthen our leadership and look ahead to an ambitious new chapter for the Foundation. Asian Sports Foundation are proud to welcome four new Trustees to our existing board.

Our new Trustees bring deep experience across sport, business and community leadership. More importantly,they share a strong commitment to widening access, increasing representationand ensuring all people from underrepresented communities can thrive through

Meet our new Trustees

Zaynab Osman,Managing Director, Bee Impact Consultancy

Zaynab Osman is animpact-driven researcher and founder of Bee Impact Consultancy, specialising inbespoke evaluation within sport for development. With nine years’ experience,predominantly in football, she is a leading voice in social impact measurement.

Her achievements includedesigning the UEFA Women’s EURO 2022 Legacy social impact framework and servingas impact lead for two Premier League club charities. Combining grassrootsinsight with elite-level expertise, Zaynab empowers organisations to move beyonddata points and maximise their social value.

"Growing up, sport wasmore than a game to me. It was a place where I found a community and a sense ofbelonging. I hope to use my contributions to the ASF ensure those sameopportunities are accessible to all Asians " said Zaynab.

Dr Imran JE Ahmed,NHS GP, Cheshire | Lead Doctor, Sale Sharks Rugby Union Club

Dr Imran JE Ahmed has workedas an NHS doctor for over 20 years and has been involved in sport – bothprofessional and amateur – throughout that time. He is deeply passionate aboutthe role physical activity and sport play in improving both physical and mentalhealth.

Commenting on his Trusteeappointment, Dr Imran Ahmed said: “We were not born to be stationary. I amconstantly looking for ways to bring what I learn in professional sport intoeveryday life, so that we can all benefit – individually and as communities.”

Pepi Sappal,Founder & Director, Fair Play Talks

Pepi Sappal is acommunications and PR leader with more than 20 years’ experience acrossjournalism and corporate communications. She helps organisations shape credibleconversations around workplace inclusion, wellbeing and responsible business.As Founder of Fair Play Talks, Pepi works at the intersection of DEI,ESG and corporate communications, supporting leadership teams to level theplaying field, communicate with clarity and turn purpose into measurableimpact.

Originally trained as ajournalist, she has written for publications such as The Wall Street Journal,Dow Jones, Forbes, HR Magazine and The Guardian, and has ledglobal PR and communications functions advising senior leaders through growthand change. She was recognised in the EMpower Top 100 Future Leaders 2025 andnamed a Top 50 Diversity Power List Honouree 2025/26.

As a cancer survivor and committed ally, she brings lived perspective as wellas professional expertise to her work. “I’m honoured to join the Asian SportsFoundation at such a pivotal moment in its journey. I look forward to bringingmy experience to help amplify the Foundation’s voice and strengthen itslong-term impact. Sport and movement are powerful catalysts for healthier, moreconnected communities, and I’m proud to play a part in advancing that mission,”said Pepi.

Anglie Johns,Executive Coach & Fractional HR Leader

Anglie Johns is an impactfulPeople Director and Executive Coach, specialising in authenticity, culture andleadership. She works with individuals, organisations and business schools todevelop transformational leaders and build high-performance cultures.

“I am passionate aboutcultural intelligence and helping people grow their capability to work betterwith those who are different from them. That’s why I’m so excited to supportthe Asian Sports Foundation as a trustee,” said Angelie.
